Even though I feel like I'm slowly canonizing this tradition of uploading "Itsenäisyspäivä" by Mellakka on independence day, I'll do it again. At least the damn blog gets updated. It's been a sad week. The founder and vocalist of Briard (the first punk band in Finland to release a record), Pete "Räkä" Malmi died on Sunday and the founder, guitarist and (post-split w/Cadgers) vocalist of Kaaos, Jakke Hallikainen, died on Wednesday. Two absolute legends of finnish punk and hardcore lost in a couple of days. Sad, but true.
