Widows - Overscrupulous 7"

This is Widows' first single, released in 1979. Widows were one of the few finnish old school punk bands who sang in english and they were very significant in creating the punk scene in Helsinki in places like Kill City and Lepakko. They also did two great singles more and one LP before vocalist Jacky Ix's brushes with the law made the band call it quits in 1981. Great band, shame that most of their material is pretty hard to find nowadays. Poko rekords released "Complete Widows" in 1996, but it seems to be out of print again. Well, here's their debut single.

Here's a classic single from 1979. Sehr Schnell are one of my favourite finnish old-school punk bands, their droning and off-key sound is very interesting. It should also be noted that both of these songs are, in their own deranged way, quite catchy!
